Speaking of holidays (see below), please do not overlook the fact that tomorrow is what one might call Flying Cow Day, marking as it does the anniversary of the first flight of (and milking of) a cow in an airplane, in 1930. The cow, one Elm Farm Ollie (later known as Nellie Jay), flew from Bismark, Missourah to St. Louis as part of the International Air Exposition.
Word is that Ollie found the experience to be udderly enjoyable. Heeeeey-oooh!!
