One of the many tasks I had set for myself this spring was to give the azaeleas around the Port-swiller residence a jolly good trim, most of them having got rayther shaggy over the past few years.

As the hundred-year snow pack begins to melt and I start to get a look-see at what’s under it, it becomes evident that Nature has taken care of most of this job for me.  Apparently, all I’ll need to do is clear away the snapped branches and even things out a bit.

So much for a good bloom this spring, but it seems like a reasonable trade to me.
