Greetings, my fellow port swillers!
Yes, as I mentioned yesterday, today is ol’ Robbo’s birthday. My 47th, in fact. The question is, in crossing this threshold, have I now entered my late mid-40′s or my early late-40′s?

Happy Birthday! As for what to call this age, it’s the last few years before you reach the top of the hill and start sliding down the other side.

Youngster, on Sunday I turn the big 50.
You’re still mid-40′s. (for about 2 1/2 years.)

Welcome to the club! I used to fight getting older, but once I hit the mid 40s, i realized I needed to focus my energy on certain areas and not fight the world.

You’re all youngsters! Come talk with me when you reach 60 and if you must know, the slide has been just as fun as the climb up, maybe more so.

Felicitations on your natal anniversary! I just hit 48 this year, so I prefer to think about it as simply 40ish.

Happy birthday!
I would go with mid-40s, myself (though I’ll be 38 next month and plan to continue with mid-30s, so you can see the bias.) I figure you can use “late 40s) when you’re 50-52.

Depends on your POV. You can be pre-50′s, or post-30′s, or just “vintage.”
Happy birthday!

Happy Birthday!
Did you hear we gave you Brad Lidge for your birthday.
If he pitches like he did in 2008 your Nats might be dangerous.

Happy birthday, I vote mid-40s. Of course that is where I am as well (46 until December).

My 48th was the day before your 47th (and the haggis was delicious). I’ve already bought into late-40′s.

I’m late, late, late, but a very happy birthday to you.
