Mrs. R is off to the hospital for some surgery this morning. (No need to worry – without going into the details, her docs simply have determined that she’s reached the point where she needs to get the big ”H”.) She’ll be in over night and returning tomorrow for some days of bed-rest at home. In the meantime, I probably will spend a lot of time today loitering about in waiting rooms and then dealing with the gels while Mrs. R gets her strength back.
Posting may or may not be light for the next couple days.
UPDATE: Thankee for your kind thoughts and words. Just got back from the hospital and everything is just fine, Mrs. R being quite groggy at the moment but otherwise sound.
Yes, today is the something-or-other birthday of Robbo’s Mom, and if recent signs are any indication, the Old Girl is going to enjoy herself thoroughly. As well she should: I don’t know of anybody who has worked as hard as her and endured so much over the years with dignity and grace. Mom’s earned for herself the right to go on a mile-wide bender and if she wants to, I will hold her coat and cheer her on.
